West End location calls for careful planning of RF cage installations

Shielding company Envirotect recently completed the installation of two copper RF shielded cages in Welbeck Street in London’s West End, a location with a rich history in the medical field. The project required meticulous planning to ensure minimal disruption to neighbouring businesses. All deliveries needed to be carefully timed and materials were unloaded by hand and moved through the building via prearranged routes to keep inconvenience to a minimum.
In order to maintain the functionality of the room, Envirotect created a specially controlled environment, constructing a six-sided copper RF cage consisting of floor, ceiling, walls, control window and entrance door.
The client requested switchable smart glass to the control room windows providing instant privacy while allowing natural light to flow between rooms.
enviro-Bright MRI compatible LED lighting systems were required for both of the rooms. The lightweight panels are pre-wired and ready to mount by a qualified electrician into standard 600 x 600mm ceiling frames. Resistant to magnetic fields emitted by the MRI scanners, these LED panels are ideal for imaging suites.
Envirotect offers radiation and RF shielding products including lead-lined panels, door sets, windows and x-rays screens with associated services for MRI facilities.
