X-ray motorisation helps Clevedon boost efficiency

Philips Healthcare sales specialist digital x-ray Seamus Flood and project manager Cath Sellwood, image support worker Carole Durance, radiographer Fiona Callaghan, Philips commercial lead imaging systems southern district Jane Robinson, radiology department assistant Megan Britton and plain imaging lead radiographer Rose Bowden.
Clevedon Community Hospital, part of North Somerset Community Partnership, has chosen a Philips Healthcare DigitalDiagnost 4.1 x-ray system. The imaging department, run by North Bristol NHS Trust, replaced an existing installation with the high throughput system. It provides total room motorisation including automatic tube motion and moveable vertical stand.
Trust plain imaging lead radiographer Rose Bowden said: “We selected the DigitalDiagnost for its reliability and user-friendly interface, as well as its automatic movements, and we anticipate being able to improve our efficiency as a result, opening a direct access service for patients. We found Philips’ handling of the project very good, fitting in with our timescales which were difficult to co-ordinate as it is a single room service. However, Philips stuck to the programme.”
