Leicester General Hospital has worked with Althea and Samsung Healthcare through University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust’s vendor-independent managed service to replace all of its plain x-ray rooms.

Supported by Althea’s implementation and technology experts, the hospital selected Samsung’s GC85, a fully automated digital suite designed to reduce physical stress on users, increase patient throughput and deliver superb quality images.

Plain film superintendent Andy Mear said: “Everybody is really pleased with the new equipment and the transition to the new technology in this room has been very smooth.  Our staff and patients are seeing real benefits from this procurement.”
