Great Yarmouth hospital chooses mobiles and a retrofit

Student radiographer Maria Sutherland, reporting radiographer Valerie Dean, MIS Healthcare account manager Tony Rogers and senior radiographer Jordan Buckingham.

As part of an equipment update at Great Yarmouth’s James Paget University Hospital, the trust has installed a pair of Samsung GM85 mobile machines.  According to supplier MIS Healthcare, these units are compact and light.  “They are aimed at producing exquisite images while reducing the impact the work has on staff,” states the company.  The machine features S-Align, S-Guide and Sim Grid, and will charge from empty to full in around two hours, enabling it to cover 20km or to carry out 220 exposures.

Lead radiographer Dorothy Wheatman said: “From our initial contact with Samsung through to our go-live everything has gone brilliantly.  The staff are very impressed with our new equipment and everyone is very happy with its ease of use and the superb quality of the images.”
