University sells MRI system with the help of UniGreenScheme and Future Medical

Future Medical Equipment has worked alongside UniGreenScheme in the removal and purchase of MRI equipment from the University of Birmingham.
UniGreenScheme assists UK universities and the wider scientific industry in reducing waste and using resources sustainably to enable research organisations to thrive in an increasingly resource-constrained world. Operations manager Adam Burston said: “We specialise in the resale of assets for universities and hospitals in the UK. When we were asked to sell an MRI scanner for the University of Birmingham we sourced offers from companies across the world. Future Medical not only came back with the best price on the system, but was the only company that was able to complete the complex removal process that involved craning the system over a building.
Future Medical de-installs and purchases used diagnostic imaging equipment across the UK and parts of Europe. It specialises in the acquisition of CT and MRI, as well as items such as ultrasound and mammography units and C-arms. Sales director Leon Parsons said: “When we were approached by UniGreenScheme we were eager to collaborate with such a dynamic company and of course our team of engineers wanted to de-install the MRI system as efficiently as possible.”
