The CT department at Royal Hampshire County NHS Trust has installed an Ulrich syringe-less contrast injector system.  The Ulrich Missouri injector, which uses a combination of multi-use hose and single-use patient lines, has enabled the department to realise significant savings both in the cost of consumables and of contrast agent.

The standard configuration of the injectors means that saline can be used as part of the injection protocol without the additional costs associated with using a second syringe.
