Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has installed a Ysio wi-D direct digital radiography system from Siemens Healthcare to improve workflow and increase x-ray capacity in its outpatients department.

The department offers services to orthopaedic clinics and GPs in the local area.  It will primarily use the Ysio for chest, knee and pelvis x-rays and the technology upgrade has enabled patients to be seen quickly.
