No compromise on image quality at Morriston Hospital
Consultant cardiac anaesthetist Dr Farhan Husain and Philips Healthcare cardiac ultrasound applications specialist Jo Harris at Morriston Hospital.
Morriston Hospital, Swansea, has purchased a Philips CX50 portable ultrasound system and two transoesophageal probes for use in its cardiac theatres.
With the image quality expected of a full-sized system and the convenience of portability, the system will be used for intraoperative transoesophageal procedures, while two probes will allow more procedures to be performed with less downtime.
