Parkside plans to expand services

Philips Healthcare has supplied an Ingenia 3.0T MRI system to Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, a private acute hospital that is part of Aspen Healthcare. Medical services provided range from outpatient clinics and diagnostic screening to complex surgery and specialised cancer treatments.
Head of radiology Hannalie de Beer said: “At Parkside we are committed to providing first-class independent healthcare for our patients. The scanner is an addition to our existing two 1.5T MRI systems. As part of the outpatient department it will enable Parkside Hospital to offer advanced breast, oncology, gynaecological, prostate and MSK imaging. Future plans include MRI cardiac imaging as well.
“The Ingenia 3.0T will provide a general purpose MRI system, including gynaecology, genitourinary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, breast, neurology and MSK imaging.”
