Ergonomic ultrasound provides a smooth view of pelvic floor
At the handover of a Hitachi Arietta V60 to a busy pelvic floor clinic at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, is consultant radiologist Dr Vikas Shah and Hitachi Medical Systems regional sales manager Tom Dolton.
The specialist endo-anal clinic and radiology department at Glenfield Hospital has installed the ultrasound system to address its extensive range of examinations, from general ultrasound imaging to specific endo-anal ultrasound, encompassing rectal through to pelvic floor imaging. Dr Shah said: “As one of the busiest pelvic floor clinics in the UK we needed a system that was ergonomic to use while giving us great imaging. We decided on the Hitachi Arietta system because it gave us unparalleled imaging quality with high frames per second, providing a smooth view of the target area. We are looking forward to using the system further and seeing how it can improve our examination of the pelvic floor.”
