Consultant radiologists Dr Suzanne Amin and Dr Erica Thwaite, CSI manager Karen Irwin, CT manager Kate Hughes, consultant interventional radiologist Dr Aldo Camenzuli, radiographers Kathy Porritt and Ray Smith, Toshiba Medical Systems account executive CT/MR/XR Graham King and radiology clinical director Dr Rebecca Hanlon.

Aintree University Hospital has added a Toshiba Aquilion Prime CT scanner, which joins three other Toshiba CT systems, and is located in the new major trauma centre that treats in excess of 80,000 patients per year.

CT manager Kate Hughes said: “We already have three Toshiba scanners and we know they are very reliable machines with a very comprehensive after-sales service.  Being familiar with the functions reduced the training period and Toshiba understood our needs throughout the procurement process.  We like the speed, reliability and ease of use of the system – key requirements for equipment in an A&E department.”
