Glasgow Caledonian student’s MRI contrast project wins prize for research performance

The Glasgow Caledonian University Best Research Performance student prize for 2018 was awarded to Rachelle Rui Zhe Tan for her project exploring whether the administration of gadolinium-based contrast agents during MRI examinations causes gadolinium accumulation in the adult human brain.
Rui Zhe Tan will now be returning to her post as general radiographer at the Singapore General Hospital and she is hoping to specialise in CT in the future. “I have enjoyed my time in Glasgow and I’m delighted to have been awarded the Fujifilm prize for Best Research Performance,” she said.
