We are looking for a veterinary radiographer to join our team. The position is 40 hours per week, core working hours, with occasional on-call duties. Part-time is also considered. The successful applicant will support the diagnostic imaging team comprising one veterinary radiologist, two-board eligible radiologists, two diagnostic imaging interns and two veterinary radiographers. The team provides imaging services to the on-site specialists in internal medicine, neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, oncology and dermatology. The primary role of the applicant will be to take an active and unsupervised role in radiology to ensure high quality diagnostic images are obtained; the modalities are X-ray, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy.

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is one of the largest multidisciplinary specialist referral centres in the UK. Located on the central south coast of England, the practice is situated within the beautiful New Forest National Park and close to the fabulous Jurassic coast. Despite being located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the area offers good access to regional and international airports as well as excellent road and rail links to London.

With 50 clinicians, consisting of specialists, residents, interns and over 70 nurses you would be joining a large multidisciplinary specialist team working to the highest standards. The hospital is extremely well equipped, with major expansion plans to complete within the next 18 months.

The successful applicant will support the diagnostic imaging team comprising one veterinary radiologist, two-board eligible radiologists, two diagnostic imaging interns and two veterinary radiographers.

Applicants should be qualified diagnostic radiographers holding either a BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, or other relevant degree / qualification. Prior experience in veterinary radiography is desirable, but not essential.
