Queen Elizabeth Hospital receives trio of mini C-arms ideal for hand and foot surgery

Three Hologic Fluoroscan mini x-ray C-arm systems have supplied by Vertec Scientific to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. For use in the operating theatre, the Fluoroscan was designed for the specialist hand and foot surgeon.
The platform features a flat detector system for high resolution, distortion-free image quality via a 75 micron array and 2K x 1.5K resolution, which is suitable for small anatomy. InSight has easy positioning and distortion-free imaging with automatic motion and metal detection supported by touch screen operation.
Vertec includes comprehensive IR(ME)R and applications training for all theatre staff as standard. “Free from the need for specialist operators, lists are much simpler to construct, timings are more grounded and emergencies easier to accommodate,” states the company.
