Vets add 16-slice CT to ensure practice stays up-to-date

Moorview Vets in the north east of England has had a Toshiba Aquilion RXL 16-slice CT scanner installed. Established in 2008, the practice has its main hospital in Backworth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and a small consulting branch in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. It also offers referral facilities and services to veterinary practices across the north of England.
Veterinary surgeon Jonathan Deacon says, “Few veterinary practices have their own CT scanner installed on-site, so pet owners often have to wait to book an appointment when the mobile scanner is available. In order to offer the highest quality of treatment and care, we acknowledged the need to make a 16-slice scanner a permanent fixture in our practice. It is at the forefront of scanning technology.”
