WRETF supports overseas trips to gain transferable skills

The World Radiography Educational Trust Foundation (WRETF) has continued its support of improving radiography in developing countries through several recently completed bursaries, making the total now 13 over three years.
Two recent awards supported attendance at the 20th ISRRT Conference in Trinidad and Tobago by Evelyn Wasike from the Kenyatta National Hospital, Kenya, and a visit by Rahman Ud Din, a lecturer at NWIHS Kyber Medical University Peshawar, Pakistan, to the department of diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy, Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences, Islamic International University Malaysia. Different experiences, but with a common thread of gaining knowledge and transferable skills, can be used to educate and train colleagues from their home institutions and provide improvements in patient care in a developing country.
