Philips UKI interventional product specialist Simon Bunce, deputy modality manager Karran Gurney, radiographer John Beckwolden and modality manager Duncan Depledge.

The General Hospital in Jersey has installed a Veradius Neo system from Philips UKI.  A counterbalanced C-arm with a thin flat detector, it consists of a C-arm stand with a compact footprint and rear-wheel steering for easy manoeuvrability and positioning.

Main factors influencing the hospital’s decision included Philips’ reputation and the angiography package that came with the equipment.

Modality manager Duncan Depledge said: “The Veradius Neo produces images at a similar quality and dose to the fixed x-ray rooms, allowing us to significantly reduce the doses to patients on the pain list, for example, while improving the quality of images for the surgeon.”
