First dates for next year’s MRI and CT skills courses revealed as Imaging Innovated adds further expertise to the team
The Fundamental Skills in MRI course, organised by Imaging Innovated, teaches important principles of MRI, focusing on clinical scenario-based learning to support application of theory to clinical practice, improving fundamental clinical skills in MRI.
The use of a Corsmed Simulator as an integral part of the course enables the parameters for any image to be altered and the image that would result to be displayed. This helps the understanding of the trade-offs and parameter effects on images, as well as learning of the entire method of protocol selection. In 2025, the course will be enhanced by the addition of experts Sean Keefe and Katie Holmes to the lecturing team.
Like the MRI course, the Fundamental Skills in CT course utilises hybrid learning to enable attendees to be trained to a high standard quickly and effectively. The CT course covers a wide range of topics including core principles of absorption, image formation, image quality measures, dose optimisation and image reconstruction and focuses on clinical scenario-based learning to support application of theory to clinical practice.
The first courses in 2025 will be Fundamental Skills in CT; part one on February 25 and part two on March 18. The Fundamental Skills in MRI course has part one on March 12 and part two on April 2. Both enable staff to improve their clinical skills and to be trained to the highest standard quickly and effectively while limiting time away from their department.
