Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) has purchased a Toshiba Infinix-i biplane system that will be used primarily for interventional cardiology, and by the hospital’s interventional radiologists and neuroradiologists.
Consultant paediatric cardiologist Dr Graham Derrick said: “We are delighted with the system, it provides a series of leading dose saving features for patients and operators, which is a high priority in our paediatric environment.”
GOSH’s system is one of the first in the UK to have Toshiba’s 30 x 30 cm flat detector.
