Craigavon Hospital, County Armagh, has upgraded its emergency department with two Shimadzu RadSpeed DR x-ray rooms utilising advanced Canon CXDI wireless detectors in 35 x 43cm and 26 x 35cm format.

Superintendent radiographer Cathy Doherty said she is delighted with the new systems, as they bring lots of benefits to patients attending the emergency department.  “We can now view the image instantly, which speeds up the examination and reduces waiting time for the patients.  The images are sent to PACS in seconds.”
