Imaging departments form an integral part of so many patient pathways, with an estimated 80% of hospital pathways not only requiring imaging to be performed, but also to be interpreted. In the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017, section 7 requires the employer to ensure that a clinical evaluation of any imaging is recorded.
