Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, working with Impregilo, has received the latest IntelliSpace PACS and radiology information system solutions from Royal Philips and Soliton IT.

Commenting on the installation, which went live in April, trust head of radiology Stuart Simper said: “This service agreement will be key in allowing our radiology team – and through them the quarter of a million people our trust serves – access to the latest innovations in imaging, from electronic patient record capture and transfer and computerised physician order entry, to speech recognition technology and 3D imaging.”

Within the collaboration Soliton IT will be providing its latest RIS, Radiology+, which offers workflow tools for standardised RIS data collection.

Soliton IT director Bob Watson explained: “This is a significant collaboration for Soliton IT – we are working in a team which is both focused on service specific solutions and mindful of clinical specialisms.  This is a more advanced application of a traditional RIS and one that we are sure will benefit regional clinicians and patients alike.”
