ROC Clinic receives first UK Transpara installation

ROC Clinic has installed a Transpara AI system from ScreenPoint Medical to complement a mammography system from Siemens Healthineers. The clinic has two medical centres, one in London’s Harley Street and the second in Aberdeen.

“We are proud to be leading the way in flexible, personalised breast care for every woman, whether that is allowing an individual to understand exactly what their own risk of developing breast cancer is, with the aid of this technology, or detecting cancer at the soonest opportunity when there is the very best chance of treating it successfully,” commented ceo Dr Cristina Romete.

The Aberdeen facility recently added a Mammomat Revelation tomosynthesis system from Siemens Healthineers to its imaging portfolio, adding on-site breast x-ray examinations to its expanding range of services. The Mammomat Revelation helps address the challenges of providing a more comfortable examination with reliable and quick results. The 50° wide angle tomosynthesis helps to gain valuable insights, to assist in more accurate and earlier detection of breast cancer. It provides high depth resolution and mass detectability. To complement the mammography system the clinic installed the Transpara AI system, which has been used in many international installations to enhance breast examinations with faster, more accurate diagnosis from both 2D and 3D studies. The Aberdeen installation is the first full clinical installation of Transpara in the UK.

ScreenPoint marketing director David Lee said: “We are very pleased ROC Clinic has chosen Transpara. The many benefits of AI in breast care are changing the entire dynamic of the subject, leading to faster, more accurate reads and hence faster treatment.”
