DXA portfolio offers more choice for osteoporosis diagnosis

Fujifilm has launched a new range of DXA systems in the UK. The FDX Visionary-A is a pencil beam system offering bone specialists a cost-effective and powerful solution for osteoporosis diagnosis and fracture risk assessment. The FDX Visionary-DR is a narrow fan beam system, which is designed to deliver optimal diagnostic capability, excellent image quality and fast examinations.

Both systems have a range of features to aid the clinician, including multi-site osteoporosis diagnosis, FRAX tool, morphometric tools, DVA, body composition, paediatric module and orthopaedic module. The FDX Visionary-DR also offers new bone density analysis technology and improved accuracy, compared to wide fan beam technology.

Fast imaging speeds are integral to both systems, with the FDX Visionary-A imaging at 60 seconds per site and four minutes for whole body, while the FDX Visionary-DR images at 15 seconds per site. Patient comfort and operator efficiency have been optimised across the portfolio.
