Endovascular trainees experience virtual reality

UKETS co-founder Sebastian Mafeld, Terumo UK product manager EVI Mike Sleight, interventional cardiologist Dr Alan Bagnall (seated) and UKETS co-founder Craig Nesbit.

Attendees at the United Kingdom Endovascular Trainees (UKETS) course held at the Museum of London had the opportunity to use two trans-radial simulators and a radial artery puncture device supplied by Terumo UK.

The course provides trainees interested in endovascular practice a chance to learn key skills in a safe environment, together with practical advice on career progression.  This comprises online theoretical tuition prior to the meeting, followed by hands-on virtual reality training supported by experienced faculty members including interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiologists.
